This picture represents the newest album from alice in chains, It came out a long while ago and is extreamly good, there are excellant guitar riffsand the lead singers voice is so cool. In other words this album rocks, but if your a bit more of a mellow person they have recently released their MTV unplugged CD which contains a selections of old classics played live with accoustic guitars. You stupid if you don't buy it.ALICE IN CHAINS WEBSITE |

This is the foo fighters first ever album, there are a variety of musicians in this band, the most well known of course is Dave Grohl who was the drummer for the most famous grunge band in the world, that being nivana. He is now the lead singer and guitarist for Foo Fighters, amoungst the others is Pat Smear who was always on tour with Nirvana to give Kurt Cobain a helping hand when he was tired of playing the guitar. The drummer has changed recently and is now the drummer from alanis morreset. This was a cool album but not as good as their most recent release "The Colour The Shape", that rocks. I saw them live at the London Astoria on the 29th of may and they were just so cool. I would recomend both their albums and best of all them live in concert. |

Another band I really do like are bush, the english answer to nirvana. The lead singer of bush was once quoted of saying: "Yes there is some nirvana in bush just as there was some pixies in nirvana." Anyway back to the subject in hand the picture on the left is of bush playing live at the american music awards, business is really booming for them as the just recently played at the MTV movie awards. I've seen them twice in concert and am going to make it a third when I go to the Reading festival 1997. They aren't all talk no trousers, they are one ove the best bands in the world, just as long as they stay singing good old grunge music I will always like them.BUSH WEBSITE |

From looking at this line up the only day worth going to is sunday!!! definately not as good as last year when they had every possible good band on the friday, I didn't for some odd reason but it looked like the best festival ever. There were Rage Against the Machine, Screaming Trees, hole, offspring and all the other best bands in the world.

A band I am really into at the moment is a band called KORN, I never used to like them because they were a bit to heavy for my liking, but when I saw them at the Brighton Essential Music Festival they just blew me away. Something else that was even cooler was that just before they went on stage they were signing bits and pieces at the signing tent, that was preety cool because I got to meet them and got their autographs as well. I also met the bassist from a new band called LIMP BIZKIT they will be releasing their debut album 3 dollar bill very soon so look out for it. To end everything off, as I was bribing one of the staff to get backstage I bumped into the lead guitarist and singer of 3 COLOURS RED. WHAT A GOOD DAY THAT WAS!!! |
A new bands I have only just found out about are the BUTHOLESURFFERS, they play really wierd grunge music which sounds very cool. If your ever in a CD store look out for their album called ELECTRICARRYLAND, It kicks ass!!
LATEST: The Smashing Pumpkins are confirmed for the Glastonbury Festival this year along with bands such as The Prodigy, Reef, Terrorvision, Live and 3 Colours Red.
